Canberra and the Yass Valley is on the traditional land of the Ngunnawal people.
There are 3 distinct wine areas around Canberra: the Eastern Side including around Lake George, Gundaroo and Bungendore (which is discussed in this episode); Murrumbateman/Yass Valley and Hall (that is further discussed in Episode 3).
The flagship wines are Riesling and Shiraz.
I speak with Julie Chitty from Barton Estate; John and Marina Sekoranja from McKellar Ridge Wines.
